On November 15, 2016 our cluster welcomed LEARN Quebec which hosted their annual Work-Oriented Training Path (WOTP) to over 50 EMSB teachers. The goal of this project is the development of a community of shared practice across the curriculum, based on the participating teachers’ needs. The aim is for all participants to become members of a larger community of practice which highlights the benefits of mentoring and which fosters sharing and community-building. The participants are provided with a common place to share resources and classroom practices with like-minded educators in a supportive environment.
Overall, the intention is to provide teachers in these programs with opportunities for timely, pertinent professional networking. Typically there are three or four WOTP Mentoring days held during the school year. We ask that teachers who agree to participate in Mentoring make every effort to attend each session offered.
The event was organized by LEARN Quebec. Read more about the project here: http://www.learnquebec.ca/en/content/curriculum/wotp/WOTP_Mentoring_Resources/
